It won’t be long before the EU AI Act comes into effect: this will happen in 2026. In 2025, every organization must start preparing. That’s why we created a webinar to clarify the AI Act. Here, you will learn what is important for you and your company regarding the implementation of the AI Act. Sign up now for the Textmetrics webinar on the EU AI Act on March 20, or read on.
Why is the AI Act important?
AI is developing at a rapid pace—faster than humans can keep up with. We still have limited insight into the real impact of AI, yet we need to ensure compliance with existing EU laws. That’s why regulations for risk management and transparency are essential. These regulations are set out in the AI Act.
The core of the AI Act
The AI Act defines different risk levels for AI applications, emphasizes transparency, and mandates audits to ensure compliance. The risk levels are: minimal risk, limited risk, high risk, and unacceptable risk. Within your organization, you must determine which risk category each AI application falls into. Transparency is crucial because, during an audit, you must be able to demonstrate exactly what your AI programs and tools do.
Common concerns about AI
Even when we focus only on generative AI, such as ChatGPT, there are significant risks. Can we control ChatGPT, or does ChatGPT control us? Generative AI writes essays for your children, plans your meals, and selects your vacation destinations. Will we still be able to think independently in a hundred years, or are we becoming less intelligent? In our webinar, you will learn how to use AI wisely.
What will you learn in the Textmetrics AI Act webinar?
In our webinar, we discuss the risks of stand-alone AI applications such as ChatGPT and offer alternatives and solutions. We also guide you in creating an AI governance plan and discuss the importance of ethical standards.
Risks of ChatGPT and other generative AI
There are several concerns that ChatGPT does not address, but Textmetrics does. Consider the following:
- Compliance with the AI Act. ChatGPT does not consider EU laws, while Textmetrics does.
- Data-security. U.S. companies are legally required to hand over your data to government agencies upon request. Textmetrics fully complies with the GDPR.
- Transparency. ChatGPT does not provide the transparency required for audits. Are you prepared for potential fines?
Additionally, Textmetrics offers numerous benefits over ChatGPT that simplify your business operations. We will discuss these extensively in the webinar. Here are a few examples:
- Textmetrics specializes in D&I, helping you create inclusive job postings and communications effortlessly.
- Textmetrics ensures brand consistency and maintains your tone of voice, no matter who writes the text.
- Textmetrics easily integrates into existing workflows.
AI Governance Action Plan
How do you ensure that your AI usage complies with the law? Start by taking inventory of your AI tools, as we will discuss in the webinar. Assess the risks of your AI applications and appoint a person responsible for human oversight—the human in the loop.
The importance of ethics in your business operations
Because artificial intelligence is so complex, it is becoming increasingly important for organizations to find a trusted partner to work with. Make sure you are that trusted partner by making ethical standards a core part of your company. In this AI Act webinar, we will brainstorm on ethics and explain how we integrate ethical standards into Textmetrics software.
